Historical location
Hutovo blato is a marshland at only 1 – 4 m above sea level. It consists of Svitavsko and Deransko blato, which are divided by the limestone massif Ostrvo (123 – 312 m above sea level). Flocks of wild ducks, geese, coots, etc. constantly stay here, especially in winter, and more than 250 species of waterfowl winter there. It is visited by bird hunters, fishermen and tourists who, while riding a boat, want to enjoy the beauty of untouched nature.
