Počitelj, a historical settlement of oriental-Mediterranean character in the Neretva River valley and one of the most beautiful cultural and historical sites in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This Herzegovinian town on the picturesque banks of the Neretva River has been intensively built since the second half of the 16th century through a fruitful intersection of two architectural traditions – oriental and Mediterranean. This architectural cultural treasure has been preserved to this day – Šišman Ibrahim-paša’s mosque, Počitelj clock tower, madrasa, hamam, inn, Gavrankapetanović’s house.
